Wow! I'm singing in a rock opera! How cool is that? I have really been enjoying rehearsing with a band. I ordinarily play the guitar and sing all by myself, a la coffee house folkie. Getting to wail into the mic while Andy, Scott, Van, Doug, and Brad groove on some awesome changes...I've died and gone to heaven... Well not me actually. My character, Sophia. Started singing songs of love and encouragement to her family after she died. Yep, it's an opera, alright.

The past two weeks we finally have been getting together as a full cast to put our little pieces together to make the first act (the first half of the story). Bankers, and paralegals, and attorneys, and project managers and teachers and business owners, all with talent, and heart, singing and learning dance moves. I have no choice but to be uplifted, encouraged, hopeful.
